About Tak Brzmi Miasto

Tak Brzmi Miasto conference is a cyclical event for the new music industry, which combines the largest substantive part in Poland with a showcase festival. Since 2014, it has been attracting mainly artists and managers who want to manage their own careers as well as music industry professionals: producers, event and festival organizers, employees of record companies and music journalists. During the last eight editions, conference participants had the opportunity to learn about the music business from almost 170 panellists from 27 countries on such topics as: promotion, music export, education, finance, people! or broadly understood cooperation.

More than 70 young, promising bands (including Hańba!, Patrick the Pan, Disperse, Cheap Tobacco, Kraków Street Band, Besides) performed at the concerts accompanying the showcase part of the conference, many of which are now a line-up of the best Polish festivals.

Even though Tak Brzmi Miasto is home to the biggest names in the music industry, the strength of the event is its intimate nature. This is conducive to building relationships, free exchange of experiences and results in long talks, which often transfer to one of the Krakow clubs where the conference showcase is held.

TAK BRZMI MIASTO 2022: FESTIVALS

What is playing live in 2022? The great stage invariably attracts people, and the performance at a dream festival is a goal in the careers of many artists. However, the experiences of the pandemic, the geopolitical and economic situation and the advancing climate change make it more and more difficult for both musicians and organizers to navigate the festival maps.

Tak Brzmi Miasto 2022 is a must-see event for everyone who thinks about playing live or wants to develop their band's concert career. In autumn in Krakow, we will revive the festival contacts and restart the music industry "live" after the pandemic slowdown. We will gather musicians, managers, bookers, road managers, producers and everyone related to the live industry in one place. We will combine the debate about the present and future of the concert sector with an over-genre festival fair, where you will be able to meet representatives of the best and most interesting events from Poland and Europe.

I want to hear your story

Lights, camera, action: the spotlight is on you. Are you ready to tell your story? Are you ready to establish a connection with your stakeholders and your fans? Do you know *what* we need to hear from you?

In this hands-on masterclass, your coach, Matteo, will guide you in a reflection on your values, strengths, and narratives. You will learn about persuasion, motivating your audience, recognizing and winning their resistance. We will investigate what causes us to fear, be anxious and avoid the stage. We will ask provocative questions that will jumpstart your journey to finding your public speaking voice.

Everyone deserves to speak and present effectively, to be understood clearly, and to come across as inspiring. Bringing people together, motivating them to follow you, and moving them to action are core competencies in any line of work, at any level.

Matteo will help transform your insecurities into your strengths and help make your next presentation or speaking engagement into success. Speak with confidence and with your own unique style on any occasion to any audience.

The world needs to hear your story now. It's time to get stage ready.

The Artists

Tańka Szafraniec
Singer, songwriter, WOMAN. For some, a haven of peace, for others, the calm before the storm and a colourful bird. She calls music freedom, treating it as a way to express truth and emotions, as her space. Over the years, she has worked as a choir with stars of the Polish scene, and wrote her songs for the drawer. In 2020, she debuted with the single "Now and here" and, following the blow in 2021, she released the singles "Przemijam" , "Biec" and "Pochyl się miły nade mną", presenting colourful musical renditions from rock'n'roll to the synth sounds of 1980s pop.

In 2021, she released her debut album "MOZAIKA", in which, together with excellent musicians, she shows even more musical colours by romancing different versions of alternative pop-rock.

Zimbru
Zimbru is an indie / art-rock band from Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Their sound can be described as a wild mix of raspy synthesizers, angular guitar riffs, and lively percussion all topped off by stories of dancing, lost pets, real love, and nostalgia for never experienced past decades.

Their show i organized thanks to our partnership in HEMI - Hub for the exchange of Music Innovation

They describe themselves as being like a Panoramix Cauldron, skipping the musical fast food to give difficult topics an easily digestible form. And indeed, there is something in that. You will definitely have a good time at their concert, but if you listen a little more closely you will definitely find a second bottom.

They have already played at, among others, Męskie Granie, Lech Polish Hip Hop Festival or WrOFFław, and now it's time for them to visit Krakow. Serca is a producer duo from Wrocław, created by Radek Baranowski and Kamil Jagiełło. In their songs, the artists combine, among other things, indie/punk-rock sounds with trappy, energetic beats. In April 2021, they released their debut EP 'Egzotyczne sny', created together with vocalist Antonina. To collaborate on the full-length album, they invited rapper and vocalist Kowalczyk. On 23.03.2022, the HEADROOM collective from Wrocław released the album "Ile można gadać o tym samym?", which contains ten songs celebrating both better and worse moments, which paradoxically are equally necessary to achieve full happiness. Get ready for a good party!

They write about themselves as follows: "thousands of deliberations, revisions and meetings - all to create something special. In their work you will find a combination of old-school and electronic flair. Basia, Jimi, Antoni and Kacper have been working together for many years and their new sound will surprise many listeners. Their extensive stage experience makes for concerts with a unique atmosphere that captivates every time." To the last sentence we say: check it out, although there is no doubt about it, we are sure that the atmosphere will be exceptional indeed.

"Notorious Debutants" refer to themselves with irony, because although the trio Niemoc has been around for seven years, they are still described as "young talented". The band's sound is a combination of modernity with the nostalgia of the 80s and 90s. Energetic guitars and dynamic synthesisers are their trademark, which is best seen at concerts. Niemoc performed at, among others, Opener, Sziget in Hungary, Męskie Grania, OFF Festival or Nowa Muzyka, while online you can find their sessions recorded for, among others, Boiler Room, Sofar Sounds or Pegasus. At the end of last year, they released the album "Kilka Najlepszych Dni w Życiu", to which they invited great guests: Kacha (Coals), Joanna Longić (Tęskno), Misia Furtak, Michał Wiraszko (Flies) and Próżnia.

Their show is co-organized by My Name Is Poznań 2.0

"A deep journey into the thick of the female experience, taken in an intricately woven electronic vehicle. The beat mixes with bitterness, like mascara with tears in a disco bathroom at 5AM. A bit to dance to, a bit to cry to". - This is how she writes about herself, and in total, these three sentences are all that is needed, so we will only add that she is an artist who knows what she wants, and for her debut album, released on the Mystic Production label, she collaborated with Marek Pędziwiatr (EABS, Błoto), which is an additional sign of quality.

Mentally Blind
Mentally Blind's music is a combination of progressive metal full of technical guitar riffs with catchy melodicism, the depth of spatial reverbs or the world of analogue synthesisers. Constantly balancing on the edge of an overwhelming sense of sadness and delicate flashes of hope, the compositions draw the listener into a cinematic world full of emotional and sometimes even romantic rapture, only to hit the listener with an uncompromising wall of sound a moment later. They have had the opportunity to prove their stage skills more than once, including playing a tour with Decapitated, two tours alongside Materia, and supporting such foreign stars as Monuments, Bury Tomorrow, Hactkivist, Uneven Structure and Napoleon. So it's time for them to prove it to you too.
Zdjęcie profilu Klawo

Klawo
They write that "Klawo is made up of good homies, hanging out in the corridors of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk or on the beach", and we see it all: the friendship and joy of playing, performance artistry and laid-back attitude that we have always associated with the Tricity scene. If you like groove and jazz improvisation, but also melodies that could easily be the soundtrack to a crime series from the '70s, or maybe a film in which Jackie Chan runs around the harbour districts and.... ok, maybe we've gone a bit overboard, but that's the fault of the music, it immediately creates a series of images in the mind.
