ABOUT
Tak Brzmi Miasto Conference is an event aimed at the new music industry, combining a rich content part with a showcase festival.
For more than ten years, it has particularly attracted artists who want to manage their own careers and music industry professionals: managers, producers, event and festival organisers, record company employees and music journalists.
Over the past ten editions, conference participants have had the opportunity to learn about the music business from almost 230 experts from 27 countries. We covered topics such as promotion, exporting music abroad, education, finances, people, cooperation in the broad sense or how to get to music festivals.
At the concerts accompanying the showcase part of the conference, more than 80 young, promising bands performed (including Hańba!, Patrick the Pan, Disperse, Cheap Tobacco, Kraków Street Band, Besides, Lor, Daria Ryczek-Zając), many of whom are currently in the line-up of the best Polish events.
Although Tak Brzmi Miasto features some of the biggest names in the national and global music industry, the strength of the event is its intimate nature and its adoption of the perspective of the emerging artist - framing the topics in a way that makes them understandable and practical for aspiring musicians. This fosters relationship building, a free exchange of experiences and results in long conversations that often move to one of Kraków's clubs where the conference showcase takes place.

Opening Panel - Live Music is NOT Dead
The pandemic has changed people's approach to live concerts. Festivals are somehow holding up, but attendance at concerts by small bands has dropped drastically. Is this the beginning of a trend that will make concerts events for a select few or the biggest enthusiasts? Who and how listens to live music? What impact does Netflix have on concerts? We will talk about all this with our guests during the opening panel!
Panel in English
Mind on tour. How to maintain emotional balance while on tour?
We usually think of concerts as fulfilling dreams and goals that we strive for, but it is also worth remembering the mental difficulties associated with them. And above all, it is worth knowing how to deal with these difficulties. During this workshop, you will learn the tools that will help you reduce the negative effects associated with being on stage.

ARTISTS
See this years line-up!
Daj Ognia band is based in Krakow, Poland, and their music is most often defined as 'dark folk' or 'alternative folk'. Their artistic creation is set in "a village that never was". Referring to an old myth of the Baltic Sea freezing over winter, they find inspiration in both Polish and Scandinavian musical traditions. With archaic instruments found in these lands, in their theatrical manner, the band interweaves the melodies of melancholic longing and frenetic trance-like dances. Daj Ognia's original compositions bring back the fiery raves of bygone days."
Their latest EP, “Śpiewnik na koniec czasów - edycja pierwsza,” marks a new chapter as Anchey sings in Polish for the first time, infusing the tracks with a special Slavic mystique. This modern Indie-Pop, rich with synth sounds and layered harmonies, grabs your attention right from the first listen.
Muzaman - beatboxer, music producer, liveactor and DJ. In his work you can hear inspiration from artists such as ReepsOne, Chase & Status, Noisia, Camo & Krooked and B-Complex. He has been involved in music since 2008, and has played several hundred concerts and participated in many beatbox battles.
His music is a combination of many electronic genres in a drum'n'bass version. Over the past several years, he has collaborated with artists from a wide musical spectrum - including Guova, Wrona, Eldo, Sophie Szklarska, Prykson Fisk and many others. To his credit, he has two mini-albums, namely ‘Audiovisual Arts’ and ‘niceguy’ released in 2022 and a dozen singles (both solo and as duo Sonder) premiered in 2023. In the second half of 2024, he will release further material, where we will hear anto9, Gverill or Yuos, among others.
Hwootch - Producer creating synth sounds full of low frequencies.
Inspired by artists such as Boris Brejcha, Droplex, Pastiche and Oliver Huntemann, he has found his own style in which he combines High-Tech Minimal, Melodic House & Techno and Techno Peak Time/Drive and more.

Electronic music producer, live looper and DJ, with a past as a beatboxer.
His musical journey began many years ago and his songs emphasise minimalism, composition and a unique sound. He draws inspiration from artists such as Limp Bizkit, The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers, creating a unique fusion of genres. In his music you will hear Acid Techno, Breakbeat and Dubstep, among others.
His mission is to change the perception of the term ‘rave’ - it's not just techno, but a wide range of diverse sounds, crossing genre boundaries, and creating his own musical trend called ‘RASTACID’.
In 2021, the band released their debut album, which was well received both in Poland and abroad.
even such typical stylistic combinations sound racy and far from banal. In her lyrics, Julka talks about relationships and inner experiences in her own way. The nimbly coiled stanzas - sometimes verging on melorecitation - combined with deep vocals create Guest Julka's unique style.
