PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
We invite you to take part in our international educational program organized by Polish Musicians Union and partners: Tak Brzmi Miasto and the Estonian school MUBA . It is part of european project “Growth of Innovation, Development and Digitization in the Music Business Professionals’ education” financed by the Erasmus+ program.
WHAT CAN I LEARN?
Functioning on today’s music market is not only about musical and artistic competences. In addition, business competencies are necessary. The aim of this program is to develop them.
The Think-tank that is part of the Innovation Growth… program, has identified the following areas that are necessary for this:
In our education program we will adress the selected issues from these areas.
IS IT FOR ME?
The program is addressed to musicians who plan to become professionals (meaning living largely from income from music), as well as to current professionals who want to update their knowledge and acquire new competences.
30 people will qualify for the program – 15 from Poland and 15 from Estonia – so English is required to communicate.
Application closed
WHAT DOES THE PROGRAM CONSIST OF?
The program includes 16 ON-LINE meetings:
– 8 educational meetings
– 8 social meetings
Educational meetings will be conducted by four Curators – music industry specialists, practitioners and/or educators. In formula, they resemble lectures, but leave more space for interaction. Duration approx. 3 hours.
Community meetings are moderated by Tak Brzmi Miasto, and their aim is to work together as a group to dusciss further the topics from the educational classes. The formula includes group exercises, project work, or simply an exchange of knowledge and experiences. Duration approx. 3 hours.
Toolboxes – digital “toolboxes” consisting of a video format supplemented with additional files – examples, articles, links – will be available for participants to supplement basic industry knowledge.
There will also be sessions of 30-minute individual consultations with each of the Curators.
In the above-mentioned activities, we are not only concerned with unilateral “transfer of knowledge”, from experts (those who know) to participants (those who do not know). We assume that participants may also be experts in their fields, and they certainly present up-to-date knowledge. Our highest priority is to create favorable conditions to allow the transfer of this knowledge, too, on all levels: Participant – Organizer, Participant – Curator and, especially, Participant – Participant.
The active feedback loop created in this way will enable making corrections to the existing program, but also to its future editions.
WHO ARE THE CURATORS?
Curators - the experts and practicioners from the music industry who will support the participants with their knowledge and experience
